Virginia Tech fans excited for primetime football

BLACKSBURG, Va. – It’s almost time for kickoff in Blacksburg as Virginia Tech goes up against Syracuse under the lights in Lane Stadium.

Hokie fans are no strangers to some pregame fun and Thursday night games always bring a big crowd.

With the stadium able to hold over 60,000 people, parking lots on campus filled quickly.

And even though it’s televised on ESPN, there’s always a lot of excitement with these primetime showdowns.

“We’re at Lane Stadium for the hype Thursday night game baby,” said Hokie fan George Kerr. “I mean, I think everyone knows about ‘Enter Sandman.’ Once that starts going, it just goes on through the whole game.”
