Martinsville man arrested after authorities seize drugs, firearms from home

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after they found drugs and guns at his home in Martinsville.

The sheriff’s office said on Sunday, Henry County deputies with the assistance of Martinsville police, executed a narcotics search warrant at 1780 Stultz Road in Martinsville.

According to authorities, “unlawfully possessed” prescription pills, numerous firearms, and over one pound of marijuana were seized during the execution of the search warrant.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect, Quinton Jones, 32, was charged with the following:

  • Possession of Schedule II controlled substance (oxycontin)
  • Possession of firearm while in possession of Schedule II substance
  • Possession of over one pound of marijuana with intent to distribute

We’re told Jones was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center where is he being held with no bond.

The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information related to a crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information provided determines the amount of reward paid.
