DANVILLE, Va. – UPDATE
Two men have been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident that happened on Tuesday, according to the Danville Police Department.

Officers have arrested 18-year-old Christopher Demond Wade and 19-year-old Zakeyis Avio’n Womack.
Authorities said Wade was charged with attempted malicious wounding for his role in the shooting incident, while Womack was charged with attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting from a moving vehicle, shooting across a roadway, reckless handling of a firearm, shooting in a public place, and malicious damage.
We’re told the incident happened at about 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of Franklin Turnpike.
According to Danville Police, there weren’t any reported injuries, nor was anything hit by gunfire. While the investigation was underway, the center turn lane and left southbound lanes of Franklin Turnpike were closed to traffic.
The GMC SUV used during the incident was recovered by the police department Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Wade and Womack are currently being held in the Danville City Jail without bond, according to the police department.

Danville Police have found the vehicle involved in the shots fired incident, but there was no update about any arrests made.
Police did not share where the car was found.

Danville Police are searching for the driver of a small, white GMC SUV after a shots-fired incident Tuesday afternoon.
We’re told the incident happened in the 100 block of Franklin Turnpike.
According to police, no one was hurt and at this point in the investigation, nothing appears to have been damaged by the gunfire.
The center turn lane and left SB lanes of the roadway were blocked while police were investigating the area.
