Heads up! Otter Creek Campground at the Blue Ridge Parkway set to close on Aug. 24

The Otter Creek Campground at the Blue Ridge Parkway will be closing early this season due to staffing limitations.

The park announced that it’ll be suspending operations for the campground, located at milepost 60.9, on Aug. 24.

Campers who made reservations in advance will be contacted about refunds and other available options.

Those looking to wrap up the summer season with a camping trip can still make plans to visit the Parkway’s remaining seven campgrounds, which include:

• Peaks of Otter Campground
• Rocky Knob Campground
• Doughton Park Campground
• Julian Price Campground
• Linville Falls Campground
• Crabtree Falls Campground
• Mt Pisgah Campground

These campgrounds will stay open until Oct. 31.
