ROANOKE, Va. – One local business is working to do good.
“Cones for a Cause” is the event Blue Cow Ice Cream Co. has held every National Ice Cream Day since it opened.
This past week, they donated over $2,000 to local Boys & Girls Club chapters.
Owner Jason Kiser said it’s the community that made that possible, people who came out to support and try a cold dessert that day.
“We’ve been doing this event for six years now since we’ve opened, and it’s always at a great time for us,” Kiser said. “The stores are full and busy, and it just feels good to be able to use those sales to give back to the community.”
Other organizations “Cones for a Cause” has supported include United Way and Feeding America.
