Woman hospitalized after early morning Roanoke shooting

ROANOKE, Va. – A woman was hospitalized after a shooting in Roanoke early Sunday, according to the Roanoke Police Department.

Authorities said at around 3:42 a.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Ferncliff Avenue NW in reference to a shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to a woman that had sustained gunshot wounds, according to police.

We’re told the woman was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment, and is listed in stable condition.

Authorities said no arrests have been made at this time.
