Lynchburg police searching for suspect after Sunday night stabbing

A 31-year-old man was sent to the hospital, is now in stable condition, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is still searching for the suspect in a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital on Sunday night.

Officers said they responded to an apartment on Belle Terre Drive for reports of a stabbing at 9:04 p.m. Sunday.

When they got to the scene, they found a 31-year-old man with a stab wound on his back, according to LPD.

The man was given first-aid treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital, police said. We’re told he is currently in stable condition.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, no suspect information is available at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
