Danville police ask for tips in hit-and-run

DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville Police Department is asking for the community’s help to identify the person responsible for a hit-and-run in May.

We’re told the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 near the intersection of Loyal and S. Ridge Street.

Danville Police provided the photo above of the vehicle they say was involved.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle above hit a car that was parked in the area at the time. The car was unoccupied, and no one was hurt, according to DPD.

Anyone who may be able to positively identify the driver of the vehicle or provide additional information is asked to please contact the Danville Police Department by calling patrol at 434-799-6510 option 4, investigations at 434-799-6508 option 1 and option 1 again, calling 911, contacting Crime Stoppers at 434-793-0000, approach any officer you see, through social media, via email, or use the crime tips app CARE.
