ROANOKE, Va. – The Virginia Children’s Theatre is hosting an emergency fundraising campaign to make sure the show goes on.
The goal is to end the debt that the theatre has accrued related to rising costs for its mainstage productions.
For theaters across the country, including VCT, the post-pandemic time has brought critical challenges.
Staff say they want to raise $100,000.
“We feel that it’s very important the show must go on because we have a huge impact on lives of families and children in the area, but also in the region, there’s so many people who don’t have access to performing arts,” Managing Editor Jeanne Bollendorf said.
