Roanoke Police investigating car chase downtown

ROANOKE, Va.UPDATE - 10:13 a.m.

Roanoke police are looking into a car chase that led to multiple vehicles getting damaged.

They say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday, when police say a driver on Williamson Road didn’t have headlights on and hit a curb.

Detectives said a car chase followed the led to downtown where the suspect crashed near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Campbell Avenue.

We’re told no one was hurt, including the suspect.

Police say the suspect has been taken into custody and is charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, and driving with no headlights.
