A mechanical incident has forced Clifton Middle School and Mountain View Elementary School to close Wednesday morning (May 10) out of an abundance of caution.
This comes after students at both schools were evacuated Tuesday after the incident set off the fire alarm and a smoke smell started to permeate the schools.

School officials say the fire alarm system will be offline to isolate the problem.
We’re told SOL tests for Mountain View will be moved to later this week.
School leaders want to ensure the safety of students and will be working hard to evaluate the issue while students are out of school.
