LYNCHBURG, Va. – UPDATE - 10:35 a.m.
Commerce Street and Jefferson Street remain closed as crews work to prepare a water line break, according to the Department of Water Resources.

A detour is currently in place for all drivers; this includes emergency vehicles.
We’re told water service has been restored at this time. Residents are asked to run cold water for three to five minutes to allow the water to clear up. Authorities say do not run hot water.

Crews are working to repair a water line break in Lynchburg, city officials said.
Officials said early Sunday, the water line break occurred at the intersection of 13th and Commerce Streets in downtown Lynchburg.
Jefferson Street between 12th and Washington Street and Commerce Street between 12th and Main Street remain closed, according to officials.
