DANVILLE, Va. – Caesars Virginia and Danville Otterbots will be joining forces for the club’s 2023 season.
On Monday, March 27, the Otterbots announced Caesars as its presenting sponsor.

“We could not be more excited to have Caesars Virginia and their wonderful team join us as presenting sponsor of the 2023 season,” said Austin Scher, Otterbots General Manager. “Our city and our region have already seen and felt the positive impact that Caesars Virginia is bringing to Danville, and we cannot wait for our community and Otterbots fans across the world to see and feel the impact of this amazing partnership.”
The Otterbots are getting ready for their 3rd season, with an opening night celebration scheduled for June 6 and a Fan Appreciation party scheduled for July 29. Opening night will take place at American Legion Post 325 Field in Danville. Caesars wants to make the night one to remember and will be featuring a fireworks show on opening night, a first in team history.
There will also be a Fan Appreciation party, which will include a bobblehead giveaway for the first 500 fans through the gates.
Officials say during the 2023 season, Caesars Virginia will be recognized as an Otterbots Community Champion.
The two staples hope to provide the Southside community with affordable, family-friendly entertainment during the 2023 season.
Caesars Virginia is set to open a temporary casino within the next few months and the permanent resort is expected to open in late 2024. To learn more about the project, click here.
