Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY24 to hit the road

Cyclists will be on local roadways through March 26

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – The Roanoke Valley is welcoming young cyclists to the area.

Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY24 professional women’s cycling team is in town for their junior camp this week.

Members age 9 to 17 from all over the U.S. are here to hone their craft and enjoy beautiful mountain rides in Botetourt County.

“Coming here really motivates me to go home and train hard,” Cyclist Homare Yamashita said. “The team’s so supportive of all of us. So yeah, they’re really just here to support us to achieve our dreams.”

Group leaders said they’re working with VDOT to let people know these cyclists will be on local roadways through March 26.
