CRAIG COUNTY, Va. – Craig County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 30 so students and staff can attend the funeral for a beloved teacher.
Claudia Huffman passed away on Friday at 71 years old.

She served the school division for over 20 years in different roles, including as a volunteer and a soccer coach. The school division posted on its Facebook page saying they lost a special part of the Craig County Public Schools family.
Students are invited to attend her memorial service. It will be at 2 p.m. at Mount View Christian Church in New Castle.
The school district will still provide transportation on Monday from the high school for students attending Botetourt Technical Education Center and the Roanoke Valley Governor’s School.
