ROANOKE, Va. – Angels of Assisi is providing more opportunities to get free food for your pets.
The organization is partnering with Saleeba’s Store of Hope to be a food pantry location for those living in Southeast Roanoke.
The building was a grocery store, and leaders held a soft opening Friday afternoon.
Staff are pleased there’s another area for people to get free food for their furry friends.
“We get a lot of people who come in, we do have a pet food pantry at our downtown location,” Dayna Reynolds with Angels of Assisi said. “But a lot of people walk and are not able to reach us, so this is kind of an opportunity to reach a different community.”
