ROANOKE, Va. – More plans are in the works for the Wasena bridge project, including the addition of a roundabout.
The project will take place at the intersection of Main Street, Elm Avenue, and Ferdinand Avenue.
Roanoke City Engineer Luke Pugh said project leaders plan to remove the log cabin that formerly housed B & D Comic Shop at the intersection.
City leaders plan to put the structure up for city surplus. If no one has applied to move it after 60 days, it will be demolished.
Pugh said project leaders hope to start work in the spring, and construction should take about two years.
