FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE 7:45 p.m.:
One person has died after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday in Franklin County, according to Virginia State Police.

Police said two vehicles crashed at 3:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of Booker T. Washington Highway.
VSP said the crash is reported to be a head-on collision.
All lanes were closed as a result of the crash, but the area has been cleared, according to VDOT.
Troopers are still working to notify the victim’s family and said more information will be released as the investigation continues.
Earlier today, Franklin County authorities told 10 News the incident involved three vehicles and happened in the 2900 block of Booker T. Washington Highway, which was corrected by VSP in their evening update.

One person is in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Franklin County, authorities said.
The incident closed all lanes of VA-122, Booker T. Washington Highway in Franklin County, according to VDOT.
Franklin County authorities said Lifeguard 10 was called and transported a victim to a nearby hospital to be treated.
We’re told Virginia State Police has VA-122 closed at Angle Plantation for the reconstruction of the scene.
As of 4:08 p.m., all northbound and southbound lanes were still closed, according to VDOT.
