NELSON COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police said at least one person is dead after a Thursday morning crash in Nelson County.

Police said they responded to the crash at 10:14 a.m. after a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided on Route 151 near Route 6.
The impact caused the tractor-trailer, which was loaded with gravel, to overturn, causing its tailgate hit a third vehicle, authorities said.
As of 3:25 p.m. Thursday, VSP said there is at least one person dead, and they are working to notify the victim’s family.
The crash is still under investigation, according to VSP.
