ORIGINAL STORY
The Danville Police Department is investigating after a hidden camera was found in a Danville Walmart.
On Monday (Sept. 26) at about 10:30 a.m., the police department was alerted of a possible hidden camera at the Walmart on Mount Cross Road after a media inquiry from 10 News.
This comes after we received an anonymous viewer tip saying management was refusing to notify the police about the incident.
At the time of the inquiry, the police department had not received any reported incidents similar to the one previously described.
But after further investigation, an officer discovered that a Walmart manager seized a camera on Sept. 24 from a family restroom and the incident had, in fact, not been reported to the police department.
Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation and Walmart is fully cooperating with the investigation.
