ROANOKE, Va. – Marching bands from William Fleming High School and Patrick Henry High School will host the Star City Classic Marching Band Competition on Sept. 17.
The event will take place at William Fleming at 2:30 p.m., and will feature 11 high schools from across the region.

Performances will combine music, marching, color guard routines, dance, and theatrics.
Each band’s performance will be judged based on categories in music, visuals, general effect, percussion, and color guard.
Bands with top performances will be presented with awards.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate (cash only) or in advance online.
Food concessions, vendors, and plenty of parking will be available.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and free for children 4 and under.
