Franklin County Agricultural Fair returns to Recreation Park

You can enjoy live entertainment, local food, a petting zoo and plenty of fair rides

ROCKY MOUNT, Va. – The Franklin County Agricultural Fair has returned to Recreation Park!

This is the first year the fair is back since 2019 because of the pandemic.

Organizers are excited to welcome everyone back to learn and discover all the sites of the fair.

You can enjoy great live entertainment like the All American Pig Races or the Great Lakes Timber show.

The fair also includes a midway with rides and games, numerous local dining options, a children’s petting zoo and nightly music featuring local talent.

Some of the acts that are performing include Orchestra Appalachia, Junior Sisk, Twin Creeks Stringband and WondTight.

Kevin Tosh, the Director of Tourism and Marketing says, “I think one of the things I am looking forward to the most is seeing those smiles on family faces. Seeing them enjoying all the things that the fair has to offer, from old to young, to everywhere in between. There is something for everyone.”

The Franklin County Agriculture Fair has entertained about 10,000 visitors annually since its return in 2014.

The fair runs from Sept. 14-17.
