BLACKSBURG, Va. – Love ice cream? Virginia Tech and Homestead Creamery are debuting a new sweet treat to celebrate the university’s roots.
Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Department of Food Science and Technology and the creamery will reveal the new ‘Hokie Tracks’ flavor at Gobblerfest this year.

Attendees can sample the new flavor and other future flavors at the information tent at zone color yellow.
Hokie Tracks is a “creamy vanilla ice cream with a ribbon of salted caramel and dark chocolate-covered pretzel chunks,” designed in celebration of Tech’s agricultural roots, and in conjunction with the university’s 150 anniversary.
Gobblerfest is an annual tradition at Virginia Tech to showcase student organizations and provide the community with ways to get involved. Students can find information booths performances, games and more.
The 2022 Gobblerfest will take place Friday, Sept. 2 from 4-7 p.m.
‘Hokie Tracks’ can be found at ice cream shops and restaurants across Virginia early this fall.
