Danville woman wins Miss Virginia Volunteer, to compete in Miss Volunteer America

Kate Clatterbuck took home the title along with a $10k scholarship from the pageant

LYNCHBURG, Va. – This role model took home the big title.

On Saturday, Kate Clatterbuck was named Miss Virginia Volunteer 2023 at the Miss Virginia Volunteer 2022 Pageant Finals Night, a release by Michael King, the Miss Virginia Volunteer Marketing Director said.

The pageant was held at the Academy Center of the Arts in downtown Lynchburg, according to the release, and in addition to the title, Kate also received a $10,000 scholarship.

Kate is a graduate of Roanoke College and now plans to pursue a graduate degree in education policy and research, according to King.

The release went on to say that Kate hopes to become an Education Policy Analyst in the future.

With a focus on promoting education and giving back to her community, Kate continues to actively volunteer in Danville, King said.

Now, Kate will go on to compete in the national scholarship pageant Miss Volunteer America, according to the release.
