Here are the nominees for this year’s Top Adventure Towns contest

The annual Blue Ridge Outdoors contest is back again, and it’s time to cast your vote

ROANOKE, Va. – From the Star City to the Hill City, there are several towns in our area nominated for the Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Adventure Towns of 2022 contest.

The Top Adventure Towns contest is held annually to determine, by audience choice, which towns are the best for adventures, according to the Blue Ridge Outdoors website.

The page said that they have narrowed the field down to 100 contenders, spanning from tiny towns to large cities, while some are well-established with popular spots already, some are just now growing on the radars with “secret spots” for adventure.

Their website said that the contest breaks down Southeast and Mid-Atlantic towns into four separate groups: Tiny Adventure Towns, Small Adventure Towns, Medium Adventure Towns, and Large Adventure Towns.

Whatever the case or size of your favorite may be, you can cast your vote for whichever town you think is the best.

The four-week contest is broken down into three rounds, with the first round lasting from August 8 to August 22, the second round lasting from August 23 to August 29, and the third round lasting from August 30 to September 6.
