PULASKI COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE - April 3, 2022
Two people were hospitalized after a wildfire near the Hogans Dam in Pulaski County, according to Pulaski County Emergency Management.
The fire broke out Saturday night in the area between Hogans Dam and Bryant lane and held approximately five acres.
Crews worked overnight into Sunday morning and were able to successfully contain the fire.
Authorities have confirmed that no firefighters were injured during the fire; however, two civilians were burned and were transported to the hospital.
Of the two hospitalized individuals, one subject has already been released while the other is still in the hospital.
Officials say the fire was an accident and caused by an ATV.

Fire crews are currently working a wildland fire in the area between Hogans Dam and Bryant Lane in Pulaski County, according to the county’s emergency management.
A Facebook post says the fire is holding at 5 acres.
Crews will work overnight into Sunday morning.
Smoke will be visible in the area again on Sunday, the post says.
