ROANOKE, Va. – The former Roanoke Times press building has sold for $2.2 million and plans of redeveloping the property into an apartment complex are underway.

The more than 50,000-square-foot facility was initially put on the market in May 2018.

In 2019, it was announced that the press production facility was under contract; however, it eventually went back on the market.

Belleview Investments LLC purchased the building from BH Media Group, the former owner of the Roanoke Times, with plans of repurposing the space.

The buyer aims to transform the property into 70 studio apartments with 1-3 bedroom rental options available, according to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, which handled the sale.

Renovations will begin immediately and the apartments building is slated to be completed by 2024.
