According to Chief David Hoback, the fire started on the outside of the building and eventually rose to the fifth floor due to windy conditions. Officials say the fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Officials have determined that the fire was caused by “smoking materials which were improperly discarded into a mulch bed next to the building.”
There was also smoke and water damage throughout the building as a result of the fire.
