WATCH: Surveillance video captures deer crashing through Forest boutique

The deer ran around the shop for about 30 minutes while customers were shopping

FOREST, Va. – Who doesn’t love a good deal?

Maybe that’s what this deer was after when she came crashing into a Forest boutique Tuesday afternoon.

Surveillance video from Penelope’s shows the scared deer making her way around as customers continued to shop.

She then found a mirror in the back of the store and ran into it repeatedly. That’s when three Good Samaritans entered the store.

They took the mirror off the wall and were able to use it to lure the deer back out the front door safely.

“We’re just very grateful that they were all safe,” Family Owner Libbie Small said. “To the three gentlemen that came in, the Good Samaritans, we’re very thankful for them because we could have had a lot, a lot more damage.”

Small said this all happened on the store’s 34th anniversary. She adds it went on for about half an hour.
