Joshua’s story officially went viral on January 25, after Officer Daniels, a social media influencer with 2.4 million followers on Facebook, made a post, echoing Garivey’s request asking anyone with police patches to send them to Joshua at the hospital.

This is Joshua. He's battling cancer and lately things have not been going so well. He loves to collect police patches and opening mail with patches keeps him happy. If you have a patch you can send him I would be grateful to you.
