Roanoke Police investigating after man hospitalized with gunshot wound

Authorities said they are investigating after a man showed up to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound on Wednesday night.

Officers said they were told that a man showed up at the hospital around 10:45 p.m. According to police, he either drove himself or someone else drove him, but he was not taken by ambulance.

The man had what officers said they believed were non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives said they are still working to figure out where the shooting happened.

No arrests have been made and authorities said this is an ongoing investigation.
