ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. – Some good things from 2020 continue and even grow into the new year.
We told you about an Alleghany County woman who started an online workout group during quarantine that quickly became life-changing.
DeAnn Stull does not have an exercise background. She’s simply a mom who could use some encouragement when forced to workout at home.
She started the Facebook group “Slim N Sassy” for herself and a few friends.
Since we last checked in over the summer, the group has grown to serve people in 32 states and 11 countries.
Stull says the women love being part of a safe space to get healthy.
“I’ve really learned by starting this group how many ladies are out there that really are struggling. Ladies are shy or they don’t have support, or they don’t have the means, they don’t know how to get started,” said Stull.
