Crews have rescued one person during a swift water operation in Roanoke.
Officials say the rescue happened in the 2100 block of Bennington St. SE. The person is being evaluated at the scene.

As rains continue throughout the region, Roanoke first responders are responding to a swift water rescue situation.
The rescue is happening at the intersection of Bennington and 9th streets, which is near the Roanoke River.
