CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police released the name of the woman who died after being hit by a car on Saturday night.
Kristi Cheatham, of Lynchburg, died after being hit by a Honda Accord on Timberlake Road at about 10 p.m.

The 2007 Accord was driving in the right lane of Timberlake Road, just east of Sunny Bank Drive, when Cheatham stepped into the roadway and was hit, according to state police.
The driver of the Honda was not hurt and no charges were filed in connection with the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
A woman has died after being hit by a car on Timberlake Road in Rustburg late Saturday night, according to Virginia State Police.
