ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke Fire-EMS is investigating the cause of a house fire Saturday afternoon.
According to the department’s Twitter, crews were dispatched to the 1000 block of Piedmont St SE for the fire just after 3 p.m.

Crews arrived to find flames coming from a residential structure.
The department said one cat was rescued from the home. No injuries were reported.
