LEXINGTON (WSLS 10) - A Lexington woman will spend the next three years and eight months in prison for stealing money from a local church.

According to online court records, 56-year-old Marilyn Dudley pleaded guilty to embezzlement in September.

The charges alleged Dudley stole $167,000 from Collierstown Presbyterian Church in Lexington.

In all, a judge sentenced her to 24 years in prison, requiring her to serve three years and eight months and suspending the rest.

Dudley will also be under supervised probation for 10 years and have to pay $102,868 in restitution.
