ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - After 3 months of waiting, the court has released the 55 Havanese dogs rescued from a puppy mill to Angels of Assisi.
The rescue group has been caring for the dogs since November and many have had extensive medical treatment.

Angels of Assisi said many have donated to the Biscuit Fund to provide treatment for the puppy mill dogs.

In a media release, Angels of Assisi said ,"Their transformation has been amazing, and we are very optimistic for their future."
The dogs will be available for adoption after completion of their spay/neuter surgeries. The adoption center is open from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. everyday.
