In early January, a powerful winter storm dropped nearly 10 inches of snow in our area in a short period of time. This was the same system that shut down I-95 for hours.

Counties in our region that can apply for relief include Appomattox, Bedford, Charlotte and Nelson.

This assistance will only be for local, state and eligible nonprofits. It does not include individual homes or private businesses.

Applicants will have until April 10 to register and submit a Request for Public Assistance. You can do that here.
