LYNCHBURG, Va. – UPDATE

Lynchburg police say they're investigating two armed robberies this month at the Sunrise Food Mart that appear to be related.

The first robbery happened on the evening of Aug. 4, when a man entered the store located at 1201 Campbell Ave.

The suspect's face was concealed. He displayed a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second robbery happened on Saturday night around 10:32 p.m.

A man entered the store with his face concealed by an article of clothing, displayed a knife and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Lynchburg police are investigating multiple suspects, as they believe the two incidents are related.

Lynchburg police are looking for two men they say robbed the Sunrise Food Mart at knifepoint Saturday night.

Officers say one man with his face concealed entered the store a little before 10:30 p.m., pulled out a knife and stole some money.

They say a second suspect stood just outside the door during the robbery. The two ran away.

Police described them as being in their late teens to early 20s.

Lynchburg police say the Bedford County Sheriff's Office is assisting in this investigation using police K-9s.
