ROANOKE, Va. – Starting a new school year can be a little stressful but with your help, children can use this time to build resiliency.

Dr. Tara Mitchell is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Carilion Children's.

She joined Virginia Today and shared how parents can reduce stress for their kids and the most common stressors.

There are also some unexpected signs and symptoms of anxiety in kids.
