One dead after 4th of July crash in Nelson County

NELSON COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE 7/6/2019:

Virginia State Police have identified the victim of Thursday's fatal crash in Nelson County as 24-year-old Sarah Brungard from Lynchburg.

Police say she was wearing a seat belt but died at the scene. 

The crash is still under investigation.

One person is dead after a crash Thursday evening in Nelson County.

State Police say the two-vehicle crash happened just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Route 151 and East Branch Loop.

Police have not released any details about the victim.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
