Storms badly damage home in Thaxton; no one injured

BEDFORD, Va. – After scattered storms on Saturday afternoon, strong gusts of wind knocked over tree onto a family's home in Thaxton. 

No one was injured, but the home was crushed under the fallen tree.

The American Red Cross was on the scene ready to help the family.

Tonight, they are staying at a local hotel.
