VINTON, Va. – A fire that crews were battling at an RV park near Storage King on Washington Avenue in Vinton Sunday has been ruled an accident.
Officials said the fire spread from the RVÂ to the storage facility and damaged six units.

Fire crews were able to contain the damage to the nearest storage unit. One unit had minor fire damage and five others had smoke damage.
Fire investigators said the fire originated in the RV and then spread to the storage facility. They have ruled it an accident.
The owner of the RV suffered minor injures while trying to extinguish the flames.
The RV is considered a total loss and the damage is estimated to be around $20,000. The estimated damage for the storage facility is $35,000.
