AMHERST COUNTY, Va. – The Amherst County Sheriff's Office is currently executing Operation Ice Breaker, a multi-agency drug arrest operation.
The operation is looking to tackle the methamphetamine problem in the region, according to Sheriff E.W. Viar Jr.
The Sheriff's Office, along with assistance from Lynchburg Police Department, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshal’s, ATF, and DEA have been actively seeking 36 individuals wanted on over 100 indictments for various drug violations.
As of 5 p.m. the following 20 people have been taken into custody as a result of the operation:
Sheldon Lloyd Logwood, 33, of Madison Heights, is charged with five counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance and distribution of drugs on or near school property
James Allen Tomblin, 44, of Madison Heights, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Robert Billup Wood, 49, of Monroe, is charged with three counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance and two counts of distribution of drugs on or near school property
Curtis Lynn Wright, 51, of Madison Heights, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
James Curtis Drain, 35, of Amherst, is charged with six counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Jenniva Scott Goolsby, 45, of Shipman, is charged with distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance, possession of a firearm with a Schedule I or II drug and unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon
Courtney Grace Baldock, 21, of Madison Heights, is charged with distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Kenneth Wayne Barbour, 45, of Amherst, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance and three counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
Valerie Lynn Ramsey, 31, of Amherst, is charged with distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Bruce Allen Connelly, 42, of Madison Heights, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Brian David Habel, 36, of Amherst, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Ernest Wayne Shifflet, 22, of Arlington, is charged with two counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
David Harker, 37, of Roseland, is charged with two counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
Marcus Leighton Jerome, 36, of Madison Heights, is charged with five counts of obtaining prescription by fraud and five counts of possession of a Schedule I or II drug
Michael Scott Phipps, 46, of Madison Heights, is charged with three counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Brandy Lynne Gilliam, 31, of Amherst, is charged with four counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance, distribution of drugs on or near school property and child endangerment
Stephanie Ann Mckenna, 37, of Lynchburg, is charged with distribution of drugs on or near school property and child endangerment and distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Erik Steward Smith, 47, of Concord, is charged with four counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
Bobby Lloyd Archer, 42, of Madison Heights, is charged with possession of a Schedule I or II drug
Jason Allen Parrish, 38, of Madison Heights, is charged with three counts of distribution of Schedule I or II controlled substance
All 20 individuals have been taken to the Amherst Adult Detention Center.
