The reopening comes after revitalization of the Downtown District.
Families, friends and performers came out to enjoy all the fresh produce, music, dance, and other festivities.
City leaders welcomed the community for this all-day celebration.
"This is through a $700,000 grant through VHCD, so we got new street lights, new benches, new trash cans, and improvements to the farmers market. So we're excited about the future of Vinton," says Mayor Brad Grose,.
The reopening coincides with the Vinton Dogwood Festival, which runs through Sunday.
