LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg dispatch says crews put out a fire in Lynchburg this morning.
Crews say the call came in at 4:08 a.m. Tuesday, in regards to a structure fire at 96 Polk Street.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
One who was sent to the hospital has since been released.
Crews say no one was home when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation because it was an abandoned home with no electricity.
Polk Street from 2nd Street to Garland Street will be closed to all traffic until further notice due to a structure fire.
