Hotel Roanoke responds to Trumps comments on AC

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - During his town hall on Monday, Donald Trump spoke against the Hotel Roanoke, where he was speaking, due to the warm temperatures in the ballroom.

"I think it's cooler outside than it is in this ballroom," said Trump during his speech on Monday.

He at points even said that the air conditioning wasn't even on in the ballroom because of how hot it was.

The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center released this statement in response to Trump's comments:

In regards to Donald Trump's statements made during the Town Hall event: The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center's HVAC system was on and working properly throughout the event to provide a comfortable environment for all in attendance. Temperatures in the mid to upper 90's, doors opened for two hours to let hundreds of attendees enter and the ballroom filled to capacity did present a challenge, however, Hotel staff did everything possible to keep guests comfortable and accommodated, both inside and out.
