Officials release names of the victims killed during deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The City of Orlando is releasing the names of the people killed after a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub. Police said 50 people were killed and more than 50 others were injured. Edward Sotomayor Jr., 34, and Stanley Almodovar III, 23 were among the first group of people identified as victims of the mass shooting.

The city website reads: On this very difficult day, we offer heartfelt condolences to today's victims and their families. Our City is working tirelessly to get as much information out to the families so they can begin the grieving process. Please keep the following individuals in your thoughts and prayers. #PrayforOrlando
