Teacher Charlotte Hall is accused of taking kids off camera to spank them. The club's director, Kimberly Albert, was arrested for obstruction of justice.

Albert has a criminal record involving bad checks, and Hall has been convicted of welfare fraud.

The club's founder, Donna Thornton-Roberts, has been meeting individually with parents all week.

Thornton-Roberts said the state requires criminal background checks every three years, and that these convictions did not show up during their check. She said she was also not aware of the previous crimes as they were going on, but that those actions are not acceptable for Radford Adventure Club employees.

Since the arrests were made public, enrollment at the facility was down nearly 50%.
