ROANOKE (WSLS10) - Roanoke leaders congratulate the city's newest GTO graduates.
The GTO or ‘Growth Through Opportunity Program' helps young adults with special needs. Through the program, the cadets learn skills they can carry over into their future professions.

The graduates were excited about Friday's graduation and what the future may hold.
"I'm feeling happy and I'm really excited that this day has come," said graduating GTO cadet Kayla Carter. "This is all what I really wanted -- an opportunity to do bigger things and to grow bigger and strong."
Three out of the seven graduating GTO cadets have already secured jobs. All of the cadets in the first graduating class have successfully found employment.
